Vermuyden School (Goole High School from September 2009) & Kingsway Primary School, Goole

I have been a Governor at Vermuyden School, Goole for 20 / 25 years. Beginning as a parent then community governor but I am now an LEA Governor and Vice Chair of the Governing Body. When I first started the school was known as Goole Grammar School. It later had a name change to Vermuyden School and it will become Goole High School in September 2009.

I am also Chair of Governors at Kingsway Primary School, Goole. These two positions give me plenty of experience of both primary and secondary education.

I am a member of the Education Appeals Panels for several LEAs dealing with appeals for school places and exclusion appeals and have served on the ERAGB Committee since it started.

Now retired, this means I can devote plenty of time to being a governor and the other duties.
